My understanding is that air vents on the rear of the center console are part of the Journey for the G35 sedan. Anyone know if this is the same with the new G37 coupe?

Obviously there's less reason for them in the coupe, just wondering if the coupe and sedan are the same on this detail.

OT, saw one of these in a lot in Manhattan last week, on 46th St. I think. Must have been a mfr or press car.

I can't say for sure since I haven't seen a G37, however my guess is that the G37 6MT will follow suit like the Sedan and not offer them.

EDIT: I completely misread your question at first.....sorry about that. I honestly don't know the answer to your question. I can pretty much guarantee that the 6MT won't have the rear vents, but I can't say for sure if the Journey has them or not. I am sure someone here that has seen a Journey will know.

Hmmm... chances are it's a no. I saw a G37 (that could've just have been a preproduction car and they didn't install them... doubt it though) that was AT and didn't have rear air vents. I'm hoping they do but if they don't it's alright. The cabin will cool very quickly in the G37. I will have to tint the rear window at around 30% to help keep the sun out of the rear passenger's necks.

Thanks, guys. Cars.com shows them as standard on all G37s, but this sort of thing is prone to errors. I was hoping to find a photo that included the rear of the console, but no such luck.

Got me confused on the sedan, though. My understanding is that every version of the sedan but the base has these vents.

The only Sedan that doesn't have the rear vents are those equipped with a 6MT. For example, the 5AT Sport has them, but the 6MT Sport does not.

Thanks for confirming that bit of info. Sounds like they couldn't snake the ducting around the manual shifter.

But does the base sedan, no Journey, no options at all, have the vents?
