G37 Factory Recommended Oil
Generally speaking, I'd stay away from it. That oil (nissan ester oil) shears out of grade very quickly. It is just a conventional 5w30 with 1% of an ester additive. That said, it does have a decent additive package in general, but you could get an additive package of similar or better quality by going with a high quality synthetic oil Note that nissan is not recommending "ester" oil, but they are recommending "nissan ester oil" which is 1% ester.
Nissan published some research papers on their ester oil through Tribology International. I was lucky enough to get access and download some of them:

The issue hits close to home since I recently bought a g37 - so I really made sure I did my homework on this one.

Use it only if you are getting "valve train chatter". I've been using Penzoil Ultra for 52k worry free miles and I don't get any strange noises from underneath my hood. Now, my transmission, rear end, and other parts of my car are a different story lol but the engine has been great.
