Out w/the 5, in w/the 7

Sold my beloved G35 for a G37S last week. Hard to let the 5 go, but enjoying the 7 a whole lot so far. Only mods (already done when I got it) are the Nismo LMZ 5 wheels and the '11 Aero Bumper.

I definitely don't care for the wheels, but I love the upgrade. What do you think so far?

It's really growing on me. I was such a fan of the 35, that the 37 never looked as good to me, but I'm getting more & more used to the lines and I actually quite like it now. It takes a while to get comfortable with the overall size/weight feel, but it certainly feels quicker. My city MPG seems to be the same (21.4 to 22.1) however, on a quick 200 mi round trip, the HWY mpg was worse (23, my G35 would get 27 on the same trip) although I was driving pretty fast (83-ish).

The best upgrade by far for me is the Stereo w/Drivers Sound Stage, finally a Bose that sounds good to me Has 8G hard drive for music storage, ipod interface, video input jack (for when you're parked), and the XM was paid for by the previous owner through 2014. I haven't connected my phone yet, but the back-up camera seems pretty useful.

Handling seems the same, but it's not like I've really tested the limits of it during my daily commute, but this car is a bit softer over the terrible roads we have here in AZ (maybe due to the slightly higher sidewall size on these 19s) and that probably helps the fact that even though my 37 has more miles, it has far less rattles/interior creek than my '05 had.

That is excellent. Sounds as if you made the right choice. I have always been a fan of the G37 coupe. It is different from its predecessor, but that is why I like it. It is definitely more sensual, but it is sleek.

Yes, it's definitely quieter. I heard a bit of wind noise which I think comes from the fact that the front windshield was replaced at some time, so the thin moldings around it are not really perfect. It's slight, but I'm pretty picky. Very little rattles inside, if at all, so far.

As far as tires, it's a dream so far. My '05 (stock springs), of course, would eat the front tires up due to the factory camber. After about 9k, the tires would sound like a tank! It was the only part of my '05 I hated. Of course, I finally bought adjustable a-arms and new tires about 3 weeks before I sold it!
According to the previous owner, tire wear has not been a problem on the 37 like the 35. Who knows for sure, the tires are new for now and visually, it appears to have far less neg-camber than the '05, so we'll see how it goes.

Love your wheels

Tire wear was a pain on the 35, I'm also curious to see how the 37 is for tire wear
