So I was in the market for a new G. I had a 2004 G35 with Brembo brakes, 50,050 miles on it with navigation. The warranty was up in a few months so I decided to look at buying a new G37.

I happened to find a Malbec Black w/ Black interior 2012 G37 IPL with 6,800 miles on it for 41,000. With the trade in I got it for 28,500.

Was this a good deal?

Ok, so I did some research, and I didn't figure in options auto manual....
but fair trade in for your 2004 G35 I assume coupe,.... is about 10-12K
I found a 2012 IPL with 6,720 miles for $40,795
so based off what I have seen online and research, I would say you got a typical fair deal

I had some trouble with the West Houston dealership as they tried to change the price on me 1,000.00 dollars when I got there. We agreed upon 13,000 for the trade in then they tried to go 12,000.00.

I just could not find any 2012 6MT.

 

As far as looking only at the price of the IPL, it's a good deal when compared to new. As a former employee of Infiniti I recall the IPLs selling new for $49-50k so yeah with only 6800 miles on it, the first owner took the hit for you. Sounds like a good deal to me.

And Malbec Black is my favorite color (besides CB of course). I would have purchased it over my 2011 g37s except it was $5k more (window sticker to window sticker) and only benefits are +18hp, stiffer suspension, exhaust, and the color.
