Absolutely beautiful!!! I love everything except for two things: not feeling the futuristic design, we aren't in the space age yet and the glassed in over head roof, to tacky. Other than that its time to trade up.

The more I think about it, I more I agree with you and feel Infiniti is moving to drop any letter designation from the coupe. In the last ad I saw (Feb. R&T), it referred to it as "Coupe" only at least twice: "Zero lift is available on the Coupe, G35 and Infiniti M."

So, Infiniti might slot the Coupe between the G and M in price.

Just speculating here, but the lineup might looks something like:
G -- $32k - $37k
Coupe -- $37k - $45k
M -- $40k - $55k
GT-R -- $50k - $60k

Just a thought.

Now, if that means they can make a lighter and more powerful car and still stay under BMW/Lexus pricing, I am all for it.

The interesting thing is BMW thought about doing the same thing (ditching the 3 coupe and calling it a 4), but decided against it in the long run.

It will be interesting to see what happens.

looks heavier with the glass roof and all wonder if its going to be slower.....and seems like infiniti is pulling the g35 more away from the performance coupe side with the ugly 20s, ricey demon eyes, glass roof, chrome trim on bumper, and interior looking like that...seems like they are focusing more on luxury..

M45!!.. what part of this car would make it price over what it already is? keep in mind 2007 is also the year their skylines comming out.. as much as we'd like to see Infiniti price the 07 G as a $50,000 luxury 400hp super car its not going to happen. its target its going to be the IS350, Audi A4, BMW 3, Benz C-Class, etc.. at the high $30k-mid $40k just like the way it is now. Also the IS350 will be due for a MT (Assuming they keep their tradition of releasing the AT IS a year before the MT) and the 3series coupe will be out by then.

Panaramic Roof... all 08 mercedes will have this so whats special..
Paddle Shifters.. Lexus..
20" wheel, im sure thats gona be an option as the base will come with 19 if not 18s
Projectors, infinti's whole line up has projectors.. and just about every new 30k car
extra speakers on the seats.. again the Lexus IS which i believe comes with a 300watt 14 piece system mp3, dvd, everything for $45k
Performance, it better do well if it wants to be released in the same year as the skyline but nothing insane where it'll draw attention away from it.

If it is released for $50k than it better be WAY better then what the concept looks like.. the interior looks too under equiped for a car to be priced at 50k
G35 coupe is going to be a coupe no matter what. it has nothing to do with the GTR. The GTR will be the flagship sports car for infiniti and will be a limited production model. Dont forget they are aiming to battle cars such as upcoming m3 and porsches cars that cost 50k. So if you going to put a GTR against cars like that you will have to make it worth while. So why would they charge anything less then 50k for it after putting so much into it.

The concept will deff go up in price because just like anything else in the world prices go up. If they established themselves as a luxury car maker, why nto cash in on it. Its logical for them to do so. If other car makers charge a certain amount of money for cars that have the same amount and offer the same why not be on the same level.

Hmmmmm. Yeah I can clearly see a resembelence among these cars. It's obvious. They're all gray!!

I notice double standards when it comes to Infiniti. When other car companies like BWM, Mercedes and Lexus have similar designs in their cars i.e. 5 Series/3 Series, S Class/ C Class/ E Class, GS/IS Series; no one complains but when Infiniti has similar designs in their cars it's an issue.

The side towards the back does look SC-ish and the back itself is iffy but the back on the on the 03' had issues as well. It was probably the most controversial part of the exterior. Nothing new there. I'm sure well deal with it.

The only reason some of you are complaining is because it's an Infiniti. If Lexus created this concept coupe I'm sure all the doubters would think its the greatest thing out since the ham & cheese sandwich.
