Love everything else, some issues with the tail lamps, but I can't get over the friggin' trunk. It's like the designer threw in a bad joke just to make the car 'imperfect.' Kind of like the feeling I got from the doggy door on the original G35 sedan or the vacuum front end on the GT-R Concept.



It looks alittle like the Solara or the Lexus SC. Infiniti hasn't designed such a strange looking **** since the J30 back in the days. I sincerely hope they will do away with these awkward German wannabe creases on the trunk and show us something more along the lines of the GT-R Concept.

The Concept Coupe a 95% perfect super model with some fat hanging out of her bikini bottom. Please fix it, for the love of all that is holy and pure.

It was the one thing that didn't do it for me either....

But, the more I see it the less it bothers me,
I'd have to see ithe real thing.....

 

I know there are a lot of negative feed backs with the tail end. I personally luv it; though, seems to be less trunk space than the current G's. I'm very excited and would like to see the new G in other colors, esp. black.

 

Hoping that the look of less trunk space is an optical illusion....
Wouldn't want it any smaller than the current coupe!

Again, most people did not like the back of the 03 coupe including myself. It grew on me. This will do the same.

 

when they sell automatics with 17" wheels and no aero kit, its going to look just like a solara or g6 with that back end..

 

I hope this will grow on me. Yechhh.

 

They put the break line of the trunk in the profile, like the BMW 6 series, which has an a$$ uglier than Oprah's. Damn Infiniti designers think just because it's on a BMW it must be cool. Stupid......beauty is skin deep, but ugly is to the bone.

 

i think the rear contours are really nice. the rear looks so aggressive. i think that the integrated spoiler looks great, and the lines flow much better then the 6 series rear.

 

I swear people just love to disagree! Funny how no one complains about the rear bumper design. Everyone complaining of the trumk certainly has to have an issue with the bumper as it fits the lines of the rear and would have to be changed if the trunk were changed. IMO the rear is just a redesign of our current coupe and looks better. Guarantee that everyone with the coupe would opt for that rear given the option. just my two pennies! RX

 

Well, maybe hate is too strong, but I don't really like the integrated rear spoiler that resembles a duck tail. Nissan designers should have left some sharp angles around the back (like the current coupe or the GT-R Concept) to define it's muscular shape and aggressive nature. Rounding everything out isn't always a good thing, sometimes you end up with a bar of soap like the Lexus SC.

STILL, like above posted said, this is still about 60X better looking than the hideous BMW Bangle ***. Bangle probably designed those funky looking trunks because he had a thing for fat women.


btw: People don't complain about the rear bumper design because essentially it's the same as the current J-Lo bootie..... Lord knows old timers whined about it endlessly 3.5 years ago when the G35 Coupe Concept first came out. Ironicly now we all love the huge **** the G35C has.

 

I agree with most of you. The rear is not my favorite part of the car. But I'm sure there will be options (I hope). Maybe they're just trying to show the smooth lines overall and the final production will come with an optional spoiler or trunk....who knows!!! If not...I'm sure someone will develop an aftermarket one in no time.

 

What? Who are these "most people?" The back of the 03-05 coupe is pure sex.
