Just traded my 2007 G35x for a 2012 G37xS. What do you think?

Am I doing this right?

I owned a Liquid Platinum 2007 G35x that I LOVED, but it was starting to get up there in miles and I was itching for something else. I wanted a few more options that I didn't get on my 2007.

I test drove Audi, Lexus, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Volvo, Caddy... and I kept coming back to the Infiniti. I started searching for a G37xS and found a Graphite Shadow 2012, drove out to the burbs to look at it and someone had put a deposit on it just before I got there.

Every other G37xS I could find on-line was either a color I didn't want, or was selling before I could even look at the car. Finally, I got a call about a Moonlight White 2012 G37xS that had everything I wanted on it. The price was right, so I bought it on Monday and have been loving it so far. It made saying goodbye to my 2007 G35x easy.

Just got a new 2013 G37 sedan in Moonlight White about a month ago as well. The pricing at the dealer is ridiculous. They are trying to move these cars out. Its def an awesome car.

I know this is an older thread now, but I don't post here very often.

After driving others, I felt like Infiniti offered the best bang for the buck. I really liked Audi interior and handling, but the A4 is underpowered and expensive.

BMW 335ix was the other car I really debated on and it's a fantastic ride, but at the end of the day I decided it was just too expensive, particularly on maintenance.

What problems have you had?

I had minimal problems with my 07 G35x. The biggest issue was the interior scratching really easiliy, but the dealer replaced parts for free. The other issues were mostly just annoying rattles and clicking from the rear axle that were also fixed for free by the dealer.

The dealer noticed a tiny rust spot forming on the trunk lid of my 2012 G37xS, and just last week they repainted it. He told me that the chrome finisher on the lip loosens up over time, erodes the paint and it corrodes. They put a new finisher on it and hopefully the problem is solved, but I'll be keeping an eye on it.

Otherwise, no problems so far. It's got almost 30k on the odometer already.

Nice how are you enjoying it?

Also did you cross shop the acura tl shawd? I am in the process now just checking others experience/feedback

Is the G37 sedan pretty quiet and refined interior sound on the highway ?

Nice car, are you still enjoying it?

Just today I picked up a 2012 G37S sedan in Graphite Shadow myself.

Gorgeous car.

My '06 is getting up there in miles (~150K) and i've been searching for its replacement. Been looking at '11-'13's xS in the same color scheme as yours.

Nice car

I just replaced my 2003 G35 Sedan 6MT (105k) with a 2012 G37 Sedan 6MT (34k). Just needed something newer and have been happy with my '03 since I bought it new.
