2012 G37 issue

Hello all, new to the site as I just recently bought my first infinity a week ago. I've been loving it for the most part but today I actually ran into an issue. I'm actually sitting in my car currently as I'm writing this, trying to get an idea of what may be going on.

So, pulling into a parking lot, I noticed my car lost power and wouldn't go over 10mph, assuming this is the security system taking over so nothing gets damaged. The Service Engine Soon light is on, as well as the VDC warning light. I tried resetting the malfunction system so I could drive the car to an autoparts or something but have had no luck.

Has anyone ran into this problem?

Update: Infiniti towed the vehicle to the nearest dealership and they pulled 15 different failure codes. They reset the computer and were unable to pull any codes and they told me the car was driving fine now... So, I'm confused on what happened and if this has happened to anyone? It concerns me that the dealership was unable to find anything wrong with the vehicle.

well i had something like it happen to me also. I was pulling into a parking stall and my check engine light and VDC went on. i turned off the car and went and ran my errand. came back and worked fine like nothing happened. i took it to my mechanic the next day and he pulled the codes, and cleaned my throttle body. he said if it happened again he would have to look into it more. but it hasnt happened since and its been 2 or 3 years.

Hmm, sounds about like what mine did. After letting it sit for a day it started back up fine. Hopefully I have the same luck and this problem doesn't become of anything else.

Sounds like an electrical short or spasm. My gf moms car died and CHP jumped her car with opposite polarity cause VDC and check engine light and caused the car to go into limp mode (lexus rx330). I checked all the fuses and found out one of the fuses blown and that solved the problem. I would get a 3 dollars fuse checker/continuity checked and test every fuse in the car. If you really want to check the car electrical see if there is parasitic draw or continuity issues.
