Need some advice

Hey all,
I only purchase used cars. Typically about 4ish years old. I have a 2004 G35 Sedan 6MT (141k) and have found a 2011 G37 Sedan 6MT with 32k on it. Price is just under $17k. Thoughts on making the move to a newer car, but not a new as I typically do?

Pretty much everything about the newer G is better except the way it looks :P I hate the wierd little chrome spoiler on the back but it can be painted, the front end looks bubbly but looks 100% better with a front lip spoiler.

I'm currently looking at a few G37X because my wife wants something with more luxury and power than she currently has, paint matching the spoiler makes it look MUCH better and the front lip spoiler fixes the wierdness up front. The VHR motor is excellent btw and not prone to the same wonky issues the DR and HR are known for. It's a very smooth running motor as well, much less noise/vibration/harshness overall and it FEELS like it was built with luxury as the primary selling point, not performance as the primary like the G35 does.

If you're looking for something to build on however I would still stick with the G35, if you want a clean and mostly stock driver then you can't go wrong with the newer G37's.

I wish my transmission shifted like those newer 6MT's lol it feels MUCH better than the old notchy CD009.

Pulled the trigger last weekend, sold the old G (in an hour) and bought the new (to me) G, but I had to go get it in Virginia (9.5 hours away - one way). It's was a sweet deal, 2011, G37S 6MT Liquid Platinum over black. 32k miles, nary a scratch on it!!
