It's good that you're actually trying to create a vision or emotion through the picture. I think photography is a great way to develop an artistic side of yourself.

Keep it up Chris! You're getting there! Only thing that I see major is the time of day. Sunrise or Sunset is deffinately the best time to shoot detail and stills.

I remember when I started this photography stuff and I was AWFUL. People also forget that editing pictures is an art in itself on top of photography. Practice DEFFINATELY makes perfect in all aspects!

You're all more than welcome to tag along to one of my photoshoots if you wish to gain more experience. I find teaching people how to use there camera/photography in general is better one on one.

Other than what has already been mentioned, a beginner photographer should really take advantage of a tripod. Yes, even the small point and shoot would beneift dramatically from the use of a tripod. They're really cheap for the point and shoot, a walmart tripod would even get you by. However, the DSLR's will need something sturdy (don't skimp on the $ of your tripod). Chris, I think if you used a tripod on this shoot, 80% of your pictures wouldn't be so blurry.

So did anyone else take any pictures other than Chris? Looks like there was a few more of you out there shooting and having a good time!

ok, FINALLY... almost a week later... sorry it took me so long.

http://bluebob.bounceme.net:8520/G_P...090614_P1.html

There are 4 pages of pics as I took 201 total shots. On page 4 you will see a few random ones of me takin pics of my girl and she snapped one of me (shrug). Either way, critique away, pic a few that were good and what I actually did right (whether I meant to or not). I'll have to pick out my favs, but quite a few in the list. There are 5 pics per row and 10 rows per page, so if you want to reference one, do page, then column, then row.

Chris\Josh - You can click on the thumb to get the full image for download. Chris - I covered up your license plate, so let me know and I can send you the actual original of those few.
