Angry My parked car hit by taxi!

So going on 3 weeks now my car was hit by a taxi that lives across the street from my girl friends house. He was reversing and dented door a little bit. He even called my gf's dad to say he "might" have hit my car but hes not sure. My gf's uncle even so him back into my car from out the window even before he called. Well seems its a taxi cab company its getting confusing. I call my insurence (USAA) to see how things are coming along and they so that the the other insurence is denying they hit me. I call the taxi cab manager who said that he filed the claim with his insurence (Arbella) but when I call his insurence they say there was no damage and that he admits reversing but he doesnt think he hit my car and he didnt see any damage. I went to get an estimate and its going to cost $877 to fix it. What should I do? I have pictures I took of the damage that day and the taxi cab driver even drew a sketch of how the cars were parked and how he reversed in which he sent in to his insurence. My GF's dad even does work for them like, plumbing and electrical so I dont think they would try to screw us over but Im just getting worried. What are my options to get this moving along?

Did you take a picture of the taxi's bumper. If the taxi company keeps denying the accident I would take them to small claims and have the gf's uncle as a witness.Good luck.

It's a case of he said/she said and like what VCG35 said, you gotta take it to small claims. Make sure you have your gf's uncle present as a witness and also mention that the cab driver admits to reversing but didn't think he hit your car.

You are insured by your insurance co. Why aren't they taking care of it?

That's BS. Your insurance company is supposed to fight for you and get them to pay up, especially since you have a witness. Time to switch companies bro. You need to call YOUR insurance company and make them do something about it. If not, take the cab company to small claims like suggested.

I should probably be asking my insurence company this but if I have my insurence company pay for my damage and then opted for them to be reimbursed by Arbella insurence what happens if for some reason there is not enough evidence and my insurence is not refunded? Would I have to pay?

That doens't look like a bumper hit to me... Looks more like it was hit by a kart...

But yes. Your Insurance sucks.. With any damage/accidents, they should send ur car to a shop asap and try to get the money from the other guy later.

Thats how they do it was 21st... When my S2k was hit by a tow truck and took off. 21st said no problem, take it to any shop u want and we'll cover it. Your premium wont increase since this is ur 1st claim in 2 years. etc etc.. I did have to pay my deductable. But the shop I took it to just included the deductable in his asking price so it was covered. haha

Yeah he was reversing and it was the corner of his bumper Im assuming. Theres a very small spot that shows some white paint from his bumper.

Also, never have ur deductable at 1000. Cause it will F you over.. Lets say ur driverside window was smashed. Costing about 400 to fix.. Your insurance is going to tell you, Ok, we'll pay for it, but you have to pay the 1000 deductable.. F that.

But in the long run, if nothing happends, then ur 1000 deductable does save u money.

And that CAB driver hit the worse spot to hit.. At the freaking edge of the door jam.
