My new engine bay! pics

Did some work over the weekend and been gathering all the parts. Finally did a cosmetic upgrade under the hood and gave it alittle makeover. Here are the pics...

Leave comments and suggestions.....I wanna do some more to dress it up but not sure what else. I was thinking some samco hoses and stuff but i dunno.

You've dressed it up, now clean it up. Those hoses and fan shroud look dusty as hell.

lol funny you say that cause I took those right before I decided to clean up all the hoses and fittings and stuff. It's all cleaned up now, not any dirt or grime. I'll take some better ones tomorrow. Yeah I was thinkin about gettin the jdm battery cover, do they have these in carbon fiber? and if so do you think it's worth it or do you think i would be "OVERDOING" the carbon fiber thing under the hood?

as long as its under the hood you can not over do the CF. I think it looks trashy on the cars that have everything CF. Just go with the JDM cover. Maybe do a wire tuck and pick up some ARC parts.

You say that like it's not really expensive and time-consuming.

Not at all. Can be cheap if you do it right. You don't have to modify the harness. It is time consuming, maybe four or five hours, but we are talking about how nice an engine bay should look right? Wires are ugly. ugly.

We must not have the same definition of "wire tuck". Tucking the 3 large harnesses in the engine bay takes close to 40 hours of labor.

ARC parts are a GRIP! The intake pipe and airbox/filter are $1,000.

^ You are correct. It can take that long, but you don't need to do the entire thing. Only the top part the goes over the heads and in front of the plenum. If you tuck just the top part, you still achieve a much cleaner look. You have to tuck the entire harness that goes over the top, otherwise it will look half ***. As for the harness on the left side of the bay, that does not really move without tearing apart the front bumper, pass side fender... just to tuck it. Its just not worth it.

Agreed with ARC being expensive. IMO its not worth it, but these parts do provide the insanely clean look that everyone wishes they had in there engine bay.

Give the top harness a tuck and see if you like it. You may be surprised!

okay, you guys have me on this one. I guess my idea of a tuck is half ***. My car is not a show car, but a daily driver. I have seen a few members on here with a complete tuck and it does look sick. That is an insane amount of work.
