That looks awful. Remove the plates or keep it centered.

Not only is this blocking airflow, it looks too asymmetrical to the car.

How about a braket that attaches under the bumper? Like using two L brackets from HomeDepot and you can remove it for show and put it on for DD that way it can be centered and not on the sides... This is what I plan on doing
