i own a business doing this. it does hold up good. preparation is a big deal, and make sure your guy is certified and a good painter. i was a painter for 20 years before i found this stuff. its really one of the coolest products ive ever seen. let us know how it comes out
Im thinking on doing this on my own. I work at a body shop, I do bodywork and also paint. I suppose painting skills come in where you have to clear coat it after filming?

i did this at home without proper training and equipment for over a year with very mixed results. there is alot more to it than you learn on the youtube videos show. after getting equipted and getting certified with proper training the results have been awsome. not all of the films and other products are created equal. there is some real junk out there.

Kinda reviving an old thread but I don't want to start a new one. So I'm thinking of doing some hydrographing in my ride. Basically the whole waterfall and center console and my sub enclosure in the rear. Now my questions is if I do the carbon fiber, I know that there are different looks, but I want it to mimic carbon fiber. I love the look of carbon fiber when done right. Now, I've seen some that. Look real good I've seen some that look like crap. My thought is if I did a satin or a matte finish on the interior you don't expect to see the weave pattern the same as a real clear carbon fiber piece. You expect it to be frozen. Anyone have more insight on this. Good idea or terrible?????
