Battery Problems?

Battery Problems?
Does the G use up a lot of battery power during normal everyday use? I bought my first battery about 2 months ago. That one died about 3 weeks later so i returned it and now this one died about a month later. I brought the car into Infiniti and they cannot find anything wrong with the charging system or the wires or anything. Could it be that i just bought a battery brand that cannot support the G? Has anyone had this problem?

What kind of battery are you using?

I've had mine since 2004 and my battery sounds kinda weak lately when I start it up. I'm probably going to replace it with an Optima battery if it gets worse(which it probably will).
Infiniti must just give us real crappy OEM batteries... but it doesn't sound like the battery is the source of your problems unless they just charged your battery up and lied to you, telling you they replaced it.

I've taken my 06 G35 sedan in a few times now. I travel often out of country and my G sits for a couple weeks at a time. When I get home the car is stone dead. First time they said it was the remote command start, disconnected it, next trip, presto, battery was dead again. Took it in this time, now they say the radio is draining too much so have ordered a new radio. Will let you know if that fixes the issue. Anyone else have this problem? Remember car needs to sit minimum 2 to 3 weeks without starting.

Mine is over two years old and no problems, I even have ham radio gear and blue tooth hf in the car. I suspect like others here, you have something drawing the battery down. You need to have someone check how many milliamps are being drawn off when it sits. I know there are a few used to maintain the computer and radio settings, but it shouldn't be much. Also, you need to check to see if your battery is being OVER CHARGED. You should not have more than 14.5 volts while it's charging, once it has charged, it should drop to around 13.5 plus or minus 1/2 volt. If it's over charging, it's boiling the electrolyte.
Also, it doesn't take more than 2 or 3 discharges to zero volts to ruin a battery. Damage starts once it reaches 10.5 volts and the longer it stays that way, the more damage (calcification of the plates) takes place.
