Question: What Gas Brand do you use?

My 06 6MT has about 9,100 miles on it, I have not done any mods on it besides a K&N drop-in. And it seems like I am only getting 15mpg. I have only been using Exxon Supreme since I got it. I also added the Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner. Still no improvements in results. Am I pretty much screwed or should I try something else?

If you have only 9,100 miles on an '06, you're probably only doing city driving. There's your problem.

I get 16-17 city. Try 250 mile+ all highway drive and recalculate - you'll probably get ~25mpg.

As far as gas I use Shell V-Power.

I live in SE Pennsylvania and I try to stick to Hess 93 octane for the most part (also the cheapest out of the local gas stations). I have an '05 6MT coupe and the worst I have gotten ever was about 16-17 mph, and I beat the snot out of it on a regular basis lol. Typically I have been averaging about 19-20 mpg with 75% city / 25% highway driving. On a long highway trip I got almost 27 mpg out of it with the AC on doing 80-85 mph the whole way without cruise.

76 when I can, and if I need gas that bad, I'll fill up a few gallons of Valero, Shell, etc... as long as I avoid Cheveron, I'm happy...

I only like to use Chevron premium...NEVER ARCO! I'm here in So-Cal and I thought that was the best... Look's like everyone likes Shell though...

i use Mobil. But i occasionally use Arco because it is BP fuel... BP fuels are Amoco fuels and Amoco ultimate is one of the best!!!!!!

I always thought it was bad to mix the two?... Something about their additives not being a good mix with each other...

BP or Exxon. My friend's dad was a chemical engineer in charge of mixing at an Exxon plant in Linden, NJ. He said their gas was really high quality.

in all my vehicles ive owned havent had a problem mixing the two. I let my gas get to quarter tank before refueling. lately its been straight cheveron since its been cheaper in price.
