I bought used g35 2004 with 6 speed, and it has aftermarket black engine top cover, not that plastic infiniti cover with logo .Can someone tell me what does it do? and what company produces those covers? thanks

A picture of the upper plenum will help us help you. It may be an OEM plenum painted black or an APS, Kinetix or other aftermarket. If there are no company markings on the plenum it may just be a painted OEM. Post the pics and you will get your answer.
