Car startnig problem after replacing battery
I had a dead battery about a month or two ago. When i was putting the new one in, the little nut that holds the battery holder fell down (just the braket). A few times the battery cable has come loose soi just put it back on.
Ever since then the car has trouble starting. When it finally cranks, it starts on the first try, but sometimes i have to push the clutch in about 10 times before it finally does.
After time i figured out that if i slam my foot down on teh clutch fast as i turn the key, it has a better chance.
I dont htink the battery is dead, because when it does try to start it does it right away.
Could i have something lose or a sensor in the cluth or something bad?
Im afraid im going to get stranded.
jon!

you need the nut on there, it keeps the connection to the battery post tight
if the connection is even a little bit loose, it will have trouble starting
go to lowes and get a nut to match the other one... get a stainless steel one, not zinc
i'd bet this will solve your problem
