Have had my G Sedan for two weeks now. Love the IPOD port - I can tuck the IPOD away in the console compartment and control IPOD on the dashboard screen. And, it recharges the IPOD battery. However, I went to retrieve my IPOD this weekend to bring with me for a workout. The IPOD battery was completely dead. After a little experimenting I found that, while the car charges the IPOD, when I turn the car off and leave the IPOD connected, the IPOD stays on (doesn't fade to off) even when music is paused. And, eventually, it loses all it's juice.
Am I missing something? I'd like to be able to keep the IPOD connected at all times and only disconnect when I need it. Is there a setting I'm missing?
If not, I either have to remember to disconnect everytime OR stop working out. I'm leaning to the latter.

I'm pretty sure the iPods will not shut off on their own. I have the factory kit for my 04 and my iPhone will not shut off on it's own either. I didn't think about that and went the lazy way on the install and just left everything in the trunk instead of running it to the console so I have to open the trunk to shut it off.
Thanks for the confirmations. I was hoping I was missing some easy setting adjustment but doesn't look like I am. Thanks!
