Infiniti Service

I am now a proud owner of a 2003 G35 Sedan, I decided against a new one because of the economic conditions. In any case, car looks to be in very good shape, 1-car fax owner. However, I was considering taking it to an Inifiniti dealership to have it looked over for any maintenance that may need to be done. Is this a good idea or am I just opening up my check book to the dealership? Nothing seems to be wrong other than the breaks are squealing so they probably need some work.

Not too long ago I bought a 2004 Coupe and was in the same boat. I took it to my local dealer and asked to see the service schedule for my miles at the time, which was 65k. They had a whole pre-printed list of things to be done and I just went through and chose the things that I wanted them to do. I ended up having them drain and fill the AT fluid (not flush, just drain), rear diff service, and flush and fill the coolant. The total came to around $250 instead of the $760 for everything on the list. I took care of the oil change, cabin air filter, engine air filter, brake pads, and brake rotors myself. Most of the rest of the things were inspections and other minor things that I didn't feel were necessary and didn't really fit into my budget either.

I work at a car dealership and I know it's never a good idea to walk in and ask them to take care of whatever needs to be done unless you know them well and trust what they will do to your car. Many things you can take care of yourself for a lot less money. However it might not be a bad idea to have them inspect everything and contact you with their findings before any work is done so you can decide for yourself what you would like done.

I suggest taking it to a nissan dealer rather than a infiniti dealer//
lot cheaper and you still get a factory servcice// and tell them that you would like to have a inspection sheet filled out//
always use factory parts////you get 4 what you pay for// plus they warranty there work/1yr /12,000, whichever comes first/// goodluck with your new g ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SOME Nissan dealers will do this, some will run you off the lot.
