Window issue - It works, but curious if you guys had this prob..

Well, 1st off, my window still goes up and down -- No issues.

But, if I use the AUTO UP -- The window rolls all the way up, and then it rolls back down half way. To completely close my window, I have to hold the switch until the window is fully closed.

It doesn't bug me much but, just curious if anyone else has had this problem.

That happened to me about a week or two before the window motor stopped working completely.

Yeah, I figured it might be something like that. Ah well, I'll wait til it completely goes out and then swap the dang motor. Thanks!

Funny thing though, it's been like that since middle of December, but then again, I don't open the window much in the winter...

anything stuck in the weatherstripping or where the window slides into the frame? they are those safety auto-up windows and go down partway if anything gets stuck in them while closing

you should try the motor reset procedure before replacing the motor....there is a how to in the DIY section i think....you will need to take off the door panel to access the motor switch.

Well, let's see... I know some tint stripped off the window a little while ago and it's stuck inside the door frame. You can hear the tint rubbing the window as it goes up and down. As for anything being stuck in the window frame/stripping, nothing.

I'll try that motor reset too before the motor replacement. I wouldn't be replacing it until my window completely doesnt work anyhow.

HUH? lol... I don't get it... how is your window going BYE BYE from ripped tint? I just stated that my tint was ripped incase there is like a window guru here that could help me solve my problem.

There is no issue w/ the motor as of right now. It doesn't bother me that I have to hold the window switch until it's fully closed rather than using the auto up option.

My passenger window started doing this last week. I'm calling this morning to get a service appointment since this should be covered under warranty....I hope.

I'm having that same issue with my 03 coupe passenger side window. If i roll it all the way down it's fine. but if i put my window half way the window get stuck. i have to jerk the window for it to go back up.

i will try the motor reset this weekend.
