before putting a rack in, did you do any diagnosis? determining the cause of the leak could save you some money.

^I understand that, but i'd prob save money just buying the whole piece and changing it rather than paying for a shop to diagnose it and then pay for the part and the labor.

The ad says complexity=hard and time involved=10 hours. I'd have to take it to a shop. Are you fairly mechanically inclined?

I'm curious how it turned out because I have the same problem, massive ps leak, whole reservoir empty within a 10 minute drive . Waiting on the shop to call me with estimates.

Rack had to be replaced.
Only issue was i had no PS, i could still turn, it was just a biatch!

$700 needed a new rack! Took it to a shop. I got the rebuilt rack because the new one was like $1400.
