And i know you can't run braided hose on the coolant hose to the radiator but you can sleeve it.
when you say you cannot run braided hose on the coolant hose to the rad, which colored hose are you referring to? the red one?

Also, are these 5 listed hoses the only ones I can convert to braided or sleeved, or can I braid/sleeve the other random hoses in the engine bay?

The Radiator hoses can be braided using your existing hoses. I had this done on the Strafe widebody.

Update: I did my own research and figured out the hose and clamp sizes in case anyone wants to know

I bought this Mishimoto hose kit for $75 and all sizes will be in reference to the sizes of those hoses....but im pretty sure they are the same size as the OEM hoses

no the kit I bought didnt replace everything I just mentioned

And I just made some corrections to the sizes I posted above (the -6an should have been -8an, and the 10- an actually fits better for the breather tube between the valve covers)

i know this is old,but to help people convert here is how you do it.

To find the diameter of an AN line just take the number and divide by 16.

-12AN = 12/16 = 3/4 = 0.75 in.

-4AN = 4/16 = 1/4 = 0.25 in.

BTW, AN stands for Army-Navy.

The lower radiator hose on the drivers side also needs two -24 clamps and that hose gets sleeved and the hose that's on the thermostat is a -10 two clamps for that the radiator hose from the radiator cap is a -6 you'll need to clamps for that also -10 pair of clamps for the hose under the plenum manifold that connect the two valve covers -8 pair of clamps for the hose that runs from the upper plenum passenger side to the passenger side valve cover. And the hose from the side of the plenum to the batter box cut that in half to where you leave the check valve that is in the middle of the hose shorten it up you need the check valve in there and that hose gets sleeved and you need to -10 clamps for it.

My addition.

Call me stupid but I still don't understand what sizes are needed for our cars. There's no information listed that says what sizes AN or otherwise are being used. I'd much prefer NOT to take my hoses apart twice just to get measurements. I'd rather just get dirty once when installing the sleeves.

So someone answer this questions. What are the lengths and widths for:
Red(coolant)
Blue(vacuum)
Green(vacuum)
Purple(vacuum)
Yellow(coolant)

I swear I'm not beating a dead horse, I just want to clarify this because this thread fails to answer the question.
