Hi folks. I just bought my '04 G Coupe about 4 months ago. I've noticed that my A/C is not cold when idling. It only gets cool when moving for a while. Even then it's not as cold as it should be but it's bearable. It doesn't help if I rev the engine. I have to be actually moving. I checked the pressure and it was really high so I let some out to get it to a normal level. That didn't change it at all. I'm out of ideas.

i'm pretty sure that's how all a/c's work if i'm not mistaken....

Your AC should still work when the car is not moving. Is the aux fan switching on when you turn the AC on? Also check to see that the condenser is not covered in dirt/debris.

check the radiator fans they should be spinning when the AC is on if it's not then that's your problem.

The fans are on. I'm honestly not sure what I'm looking at under the hood. Where is the condenser? I know it's near the radiator but it's kinda hard to see with such little space. I hear a noise when I turn the AC on or off so I'd imagine the condenser is at least turning on.

It's blowing way too warm to be normal. Every car I've had was much cooler. It's blowing like 70 degrees. Not helpful in 95+ degree weather. When I get on the highway it's perfect.

the condenser looks like a radiator, its in front of the radiator. try this quick trick. let the car sit and idle when it starts to blow warm air spray the condenser with water this will cool it down and the AC should blow cold. if it does then most likely you're not getting enough airflow at idle, it could be that the fans are not turning fast enough or its blocked.

Still not seeing it. Am I crazy? All I see is the radiator. Do I need to remove the bumper to see it?

Ok. I think I found it. Just 2 pipes with fins on them in front of the AC. I sprayed it with water and it didn't make a difference. I'm starting to think it just needs a recharge.

ac should blow cold whether your car's moving or not, unless you just started your car and your car needs some time to warm up, prolly needs a recharge

no that sounds like the power steering cooler. The AC condenser is larger, I'll try to see if I can take a pic later. it looks just like a radiator, but its in front of it.

Any pics??? I know this is a whole year later but im having the same issue as this guy....STILL :-( . My girl has a 1999 ford taurus <---my spelling sucks....and her AC works perfectly fine....its sad when i have an Infiniti with no AC working. Like he said...takes for ever to get cold and i must be moving if not it gets warm. OOhh and my overheating starts...but thats another thread i wrote in
