Key doesn't unlock doors/battery draining

This past weekend, my keyfob battery went out (or so I thought). Not worried about it, I took the car to walmart to get a new battery. When I went inside the store, I locked the doors from the inside. When I got back to my car, I went to unlock the doors by just putting the key in the handle and it didn't work...what?! I could turn the key both ways but nothing would happen. Called AAA, they used a hanger to manually unlock the driver's door from the inside (the window was cracked). The alarm started going off, but it was otherwise fine. It started up and I drove it home.

Fast forward 2 days, try to reprogram the remote after replacing the remote's battery and it didn't work. My backup remote that was already programmed to the car doesn't work either. Car battery dies overnight (clicking and trying to start but not enough juice). Went to autozone and bought a new car battery. Installed the battery, car was fine but locks still didn't work from the outside. This morning, the car was completely dead. No clicking or anything when trying to start it.

Have a date with the stealership tomorrow. I have no idea what would be draining the brand new battery and making the locks not work from the outside? The power locks work on the inside...

Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys.
