Question A crazy problem with windows. 2004 G35 Sedan.

Hi, this is my first post, my names Alex. I'm from Mesquite, TX.
I actually used to work as a technician at an Infiniti dealership. I went to a car tech school, did exceedingly well, got a great job with Sewell dealerships in Dallas.

I'll try to help with any problems, didn't see if there were any techs here.

Anyway, I don't work at Infiniti anymore, but I do own a Black 2004 G35 Sedan with the 6 speed. Got it in June of '09. Fun car...

I've never seen a problem like this, so hopefully someone here might have some insight on what the deal is.

I had the car for about 2 or 3 months when the problem started. When I turned off the car with the windows rolled up, I opened my door and all four windows rolled down simultaneously.
As soon as I turned the car back on "Acc" or "on" I was able to roll up my windows and as soon as I turned the car off again and opened the doors, they all rolled right back down in unison.

To fix this I rolled my windows up, disassembled the door panel and unplugged the window switch to take away power from the windows. But now I can't roll my windows down, which sucks.
Especially after 6 months.

It started suddenly, and has not got worse or better.

I have tried the factory reset procedure for the window height and safety mechanism.
Didn't do anything, same problem.

This has led me to believe it's probably the window switch, but I don't want to be hasty because I don't really have the money for it.

Well, I hope someone has encountered this before, I sure would appreciate the help.

so you use to be a tech? and you are asking us about this weird problem?

what controls window's power/ground operations aside from the main switch? BCM? maybe a bad BCM relay?

Never experienced this, but stuck "unlock" button on one of your key fobs perhaps?

I've solved the problem, I figured the problem was in the main window control switch. It was my best guess, so I replaced it with a used part off of Ebay. All the windows now work fine.

I don't have internet at my house, but when I do I'll post the reset procedure.
