Window/Door Switch or Door Lock Actuator? or BOTH?!?

My window switch has been acting up occasionally. When I go to use the auto up on the passenger side, it sometimes rolls up halfway and then goes down. Then I have to wait for the switch to reset and use the manual up. But recently my door only on my driver side hasnt been working. It seemed as if it slowly died which makes me think it was the door lock actuator. The only thing that's got me guessing is the switch being messed up; I know that the drivers switch is the master for both switches so if the driver switch is completely messed up it might be the only problem. If anyone has any information or insight on either of these problems that would be great. Thanks guys (and girls)!

Were you able to find a solution? I am having a similar problem with the drivers side switch. The window works off and on and the luck button will not lock the driver's side door. The only way it can be locked is to push the lock manually or use a key from outside the door.

It's probably the infamous window motor issue if your window doesn't work all the time. If you do AUTO UP and it comes back down it means you need to reset your motor. This will require you to take the door panel off. Check infinitihelp.com for a DIY video on replacing or cleaning the motor. At the end of the video they reset the motor.

We also have some DIY/Tutorials here on driver for window motor repair. I've replaced both of mine myself, as well as another member's here.
I bought both of mine brand new from the dealer for $200/pc. Here is the tutorial on repairing the window motor yourself: https://g35driver.com/forums/interio...or-repair.html
The window motor reset procedure is simple. First, remove the door panel. Next locate the 3 brass bolts in the center of the metal door pane. The cap inside the 3 bolts is the cover for the reset button. Remove the cap to verify you have found the reset button. Reconnect the window button panel from the door panel (do not put the door panel back on the door). roll down the window all the way without engaging the auto down. With the door open, roll up the window all the way and do not engage the auto up. Close the door. Hold the window reset button, and roll down the window and do not engage the auto down. Release the reset button and roll up the window while the door is closed, do not engage the auto up.
When you open the door next, you will notice the window dip down a couple millimeters. Window motor is now reset.

The door lock actuators are a separate issue, and also my specialty. It's a known issue for them to fail to work reliably during hot weather, or just stop working altogether.
Nissan failed hardcore when choosing to go with this actuator design.
There are a few options to resolve this so you never have to worry about it, depending on how technical/handy you are.
