Problem with slip, vdc off, and brake lights on dash

This problem happened twice so far starting the other day. When driving, all of a sudden the emergency brake, slip, and vdc off light will be light up on the dash. If I turn the car off and back on, it goes away. Has anyone had this happen before. Any ideas on what it could be?

Thank you

lol^^

First thing to check would be brake fluid level and/or condition of the pads.

I just replaced my pads and rotors a year ago, and they only have about 8,000 miles on them tops. But I know when I check my brake fluid will be low, so thanks for the info. I guess when I searched I used the wrong key words.
