Moonroof problem g35 (closes too much)
my moonroof closes too much as in when i "auto close" it slides fully foward then tilts down too much and it is not flush with the roof. i tried the timing fix and that did not work. it just pisses me off that i have to tap the tilt up 5-7 time to get it flush when i want it closed properly.

Bump....I just noticed this on my G coupe...sunroof when close is not fully flushed with the roof.
Anyone had this problem and fixed it....dont really open it fully just keep it on tilt...but my concern is what happens if in driving one day and hit a bump or pot hard and this **** just caves in...LOL
seriously...

Old topic, but in my sunroof troubles I've taken mine apart a dozen times in the last few months. Every time reinstall the glass, I have to lift/lower the glass with one hand until I can feel it's flush with the roof with the other hand, then I tighten the screw to hold that corner flush.
There are 6 total bolts, 3 per side, and you have to do that with the front and rear-most bolts on all four corners of the glass to get it flush. If you remove the little plastic guards that cover the bolts, you will also see a white 'timing' mark that shows if you're aligned in the closed position. If that mark lines up, then all you need to do is adjust the glass. If that mark is not aligned, then you probably have to do the motor reset procedure.
