Newbie here, so pardon the ignorance if it's been discussed. I don't think so because I searched for about 45 minutes.

I bought an '07 G35x that does not have a stock bumper on it. Prior to buying the car I never tested out the cruise control. Well it turns out that it flat out does not work. "Cruise" is lit up on the panel and won't come off. I've tried holding cancel for several seconds and with no success. I took it into my local Infiniti dealer because it was throwing a fuel sensor code and had them look at the cruise control to see if there was something they could do.

They're telling me that because the bumper that is currently on my car is not stock, it doesn't have the correct holes for the ICC. They also said that the ICC sensor is broken and would run me $2000 to replace it plus the cost of a new bumper and labor. I could really care less about ICC, I just really want normal cruise control back.

Does anyone know if I am able to activate regular cruise control even if ICC is not available/working?
