Manually raise/lower power windows

Hopefully this is the right forum for this!

I had the driver's side door motor give up on me while the window was all the way down , I pulled the door panel and tried the reset but that didn't do anything - is there any way to manually get the window up? I'm not going to be able to swap the door motors for awhile.

Any info would be appreciated, thanks!

When my window motors were in the process of failing I would slam the door while holding the button to get the window to roll up. I think it has trouble getting started but will roll all the way up once it gets moving.

+1 this worked on my car too. Temp. fix until you replace the motor.

Hold the window button up but not so much as to engage the auto. then slam the door.

Yea I think I did that for atleast a month. Then I tried to clean the motor and broke it. I had to drive to the dealership with my door apart and window down to replace it asap.

...not for the faint of heart or those unfamailiar with how the window works. Yes, you can manually wind it up if you have small hands. Remove the cover on the window motor. The gold colored armature cover with the three screws is what you remove, then spin the armature in the motor. The window will SLOWLY wind up. It will take you about 10 minutes to wind up from the fully closed position

Do you have to remove both door panels for this, or just the interior trim panel?
