Hey everyone, Well i am watching my friends 04 G35 Coupe while he is on leave. And there have been a few times when i turn the key that it wont do anything. Yes i press the clutch, i have tried putting it in gear and also neutral and still wont do anything. Has anyone had this problem? What do you think it might be?

Is it turning over but not firing?...if so, is the anti-theft light on solid while it is cranking? If that's the case, the ignition is not recognizing the chip in the key & may need reprogrammed, it happened to me. It was an intermittent problem

 

check the floor mats. maybe your not depressing the clutch pedal all the way down do to winter floor mats.

 

maybe the battery is dead?

 

If nothing is happening, not cranking , maybe the starter is shot.

 

If your battery is dead, you can hear the battery clicking from it trying to pull power. If it cranks and turns but won't start, it could be your alternator. Otherwise, it's your starter. If you have over 60k on the odo, it most likely is your starter.
