Help 04 6mt coupe overheating

This morning on my way to work my temp gauge was going up as I was driving it almost got to the danger zone before I saw it and I hurried up and cut the car off.I let it cool down for about 20mins so I can drive it to the mechanic shop and I notice that when I'm at a complete stop the temp stays at the same spot but when I pull off and drive it slowly creeps back up.
Any ideas on what this could be?water pump? The antifreeze resviour looks full and a few days ago I checked the radiator fluid just to see if everthings ok and it looked full but the color of it was clear almost looked like water it wasn't green or orange that's what I'm use to seeing in most cars radiators..

It's a 04 6mt coupe no mods or anything and I've only had it for 3weeks

Start the car check for leaks and squeeze the hoses to see if the fluid is flowing, radiator can be clogged but highly unlikely for the miles you have, check all your fluids and basic check list and then post your findings and we will go from there

Well I already droped it of at the shop because it's right across the street from my job and the mechanic said he'll try to look into today or tomorrow morning but I was just curious on what it could be.
I was thinking that it can't be the thermostat because it was only overheating when driving and not at a stand still..am I right? Im just guessing

O yea just thought about it would the heater blow cold air if the ac button was on?I turn tge ac on and I rose the temp settings all tge way to 90degrees because I use to do that when my old car would overheat and the temp gauge would go down but the g35 was blowing cold air and I wanted to know if it was because the button was on?

That can mean many things, AC leaks can cause over heating, let us know what the shop says and what they are charging to make sure you dont get ripped off, what are they charging to run the diagnosis?

Ok I'll let y'all know what's up but he called me up and he said that they won't be opening up tomorrow(Saturday)because of a family emergency so he apologized and was like if u want u can come get the car or he said he can leave it inside the garage look at it first thing Monday morning.I told him ok just leave it there..they are cool people and the guy has like 30years experience with the whole shop decorated with ASE certificates and all kind of awards.everyone recommends that shop but there always packed with other cars..I'll deff keep this thread updated and let y'all know what's the problem and what's he charging me just incase they do try and get over on me..
Dignostics is $60. He had it posted up as soon as you walk in the shop

Update:
Techncian just called me and said he checked everything and he hooked it up to the machine and he drove the car around and it didn't overheat that the temp gauge stayed at halfway..he said the only thing he did was top it of with not even a half cup water.he asked what exactly it was doing so I told him it only was overheating while driving and not at a stop and the heater wasnt working..he said he will look over it again and let me know in a few..
