A/C kicks on automaticlly & dash controls wont work just steering wheel controls will
i was driving one day and took a turn somewhat fast and right after the turn my A/c kicked on and the a/c button did not light up and the stereo light went out and none of the dash controls worked just the controls on the wheel worked. Also it starts on average at 1k too 1.5k rpm then drops to about 200-400 rpm at operating temp. however recently when i have started it it rev up normally then slowly droped till it died. i have too bounce the trottle too keep her alive then she's fine. only on occasion. i disconnect the power cable to the battery for atleast 12hrs and it didnt act up till the next day? also i just hit 82500k miles and its a 2003 g35 coupe 6mt can anybody help. thanks in advance.

I had the same problem with my car at about the same mileage.
The radio and dashboard controls would all suddenly stop working and the AC would come on with only the steering wheel controls working.
Dealer diagnosed it as a shorted out circuit board from the radio. To fix it you would need to replace the radio and circuit board. Dealer quoted about $1600 for the job.

Correct. When you buy the Metra or JDM kit whether it's single din or double din, it should come with a seperate AC wiring harness that you would replace the broken stock one with. If you want your steering wheel controls to work also, you will need to buy a seperate adapter for that as well.
