overheatin

My car has been over heating lately

I recently changed out the radiator&
thermostat
and I heard to bleed the valve on the coolant line I did that and it helped and then it started to over heat again

How can I tell if the head gasket has blown?

what kind of mixture do you have in there 50/50 or just pure coolant. And remember to use just distilled water not regular water out of the sink

I would also check your transmission fluid, to see if there is any mixture of coolant or the level is higher than the normal. Do you usually add coolant to your car on occasions?

Store bought 50/50 mixture is good down to +/- negative 30 degrees. If the outside temp never gets below 10 degrees, you don't need a -30 mixture. I usually open a gallon jug of antifreeze and pour in distilled water until it's completely full (that should raise the temp by 20 degrees).

Check the radiator cap. If your coolant overflow tank is full when you cut the car off, then drops down after it cools off, then your cap is fine. If not (radiator hoses may have colapsed as well), your cap is probably bad.

Now do your bleed by unscrewing the fitting on the coolant pipe under where your harness comes into the engine compartment. (park your car on a slight incline, front up) Fill up your radiator until fluid comes out of the fitting. Screw the plug back in and top off your radiator and fill your overflow to the indicated line.

If your car overheats after these procedures, take it to a reputable Nissan tech for further inspection.

Got the same problem, but my coupe only heats up when it is at idle for a 10+ minutes.

Anyone have any suggestions on what it could be?
