need to push gas for car to stay on when i turn the key

Hey I have a issue thts been happening for a couple days now. I have a 2004 g35 sedan and when I start the car some times the engine cranks longer then normal then starts then the idling will go up and drop back down and shut off. the only way for it to stay on is if I step on the gas but I dnt need to rev it or any thing I just need to lightly tap the gas and the car will stay on no problem then some times ill crank the car and it will start right away but I will still need to repeat those steps and lightly step on the gas any suggestings can that be a vaccum leack....also my check engine light came on and I checked it with the scanner and it was the tps sensor I cleared it and hasn't came back

I had this exact problem clean your throttle body mine works perfectly now. Mine would be fine if the engine was cold, but if was at all warm I needed to hold the gas for a second.

Disconnect negative battery then take off throttle body plug. I removed my throttle body to clean it. If u play your cards right you wont have to do the relearn procedure. Good luck.

don't complicate life do the learn function you have been stepping on the gas for a while and the car could use a reset its not that hard either lots of diy instructions, better be sure from the start

You dont floor it enough lol clean ur throttle body with key off and try not to move the flapper to prevent needing a re-learn. carburetor cleaner works fine.
