hello i was wondering if anyone can help me with my problem. i have an 04 g35 coupe 6spd, stock. what happens is that i turn the key to turn on the car and the car takes about 5 to 10 sec to power on. right after it power on the Slip, and VDC light come on but later they go away. also my car turns off by itself as im drivinng. currently the only light on is the service engine soon light. could it be the ignition switch???

*it start to take a long time to power on after i have use the car almost all day

scan the check engine light.. what's the code? Most likely a crankshaft position sensor, but may also be a camshaft position sensor too.

 

my car has the same problem, just started doing it a couple days ago so I haven't been driving it much... I'm taking it into the shop tomorrow but I do want to know if someone as some ideas about what it could be so I can at least tell these guys where to start looking.

It sounds like its cranking over and over trying to start and then finally starts after about 5 seconds like castroluis explained. I'll have the guys at my shop scan the check engine light but this is annoying... never had issues with the car before.

 

It was the crankshaft position sensors. There was not a product recall as there should have been but I think the 03-05 models had faulty sensors that jus went bad easily. Thanks for the help!
