2005 sunroof problem; will open fine...but skips to close
I know I'm not the first one with this problem, I'm starting to believe this is as bad as the "Check Disk" on the Infiniti's CD players.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the 2005's do not have a reset button. I've tried disconnecting the battery, nothing.
Here's a little 2 minute video i put together to show my problem instead of you's guy's trying to figure out what I'm saying....
Any help is appreciated.

lulz on video...try this reset
I copied the following from another post. I hope it works for you:
Reset Procedure for the Sunroof G35
1. Press the switch to the CLOSE/UP side to
tilt up the sunroof.
2. Press and hold the switch to the
CLOSE/UP side for approximately 3 seconds
while the sunroof is tilted up.
3. Release the switch once, then press and
hold the switch to the CLOSE/UP side
again for approximately 10 seconds until
the sunroof moves automatically.
4. The sunroof will automatically open and
then close all the way.
If you failed at procedure 3. repeat all the
procedures from No. 1.

So the reset procedure worked fine and all is good. Hopefully that was an easy fix and will not create any issues. My 05 has a slight bit of drag when closing especially when tilting up to close. I cleaned the tracks and lubed them with moly grease, spray wd40 on rubber seals and wipe it down. Working perfect and had no issues, even got rid of the noise when closing.
1.) Open sunroof
2.) Take a couple of q-tips and clean the channels of the moonroof tracks.
3.) Inspect the wind deflector to see if it's moving easily. If not, apply silicone spray to hinges and push the deflector down a few times.
4.) Lubricate the moonroof tracks with a moly grease or lithium grease. I used lithium because it's what I had on me.
5.) Open and close sunroof a few times to let the grease fill the tracks properly.
6.) Reapply grease to tracks and wipe away excess.
7.) Lubricate hinges of moonroof that allow it to tilt with silicone spray.
A good rule of thumb is to not apply lithium grease to any rubber surfaces.
