Too Many Miles????

I'm looking at this G35 coupe and the only thing holding me back from buying it is that it has 123,000 miles on it! Also the clutch was replaced at 60,000 miles so that will probably need to be replaced soon. The price is good, but are those two things big enough that i should pass on this G35??

Yes pass since clutch job is atleast $1k on this car if not more easily. Then add the maintenance aspect on top.

By now the car should have had:

Belts
Spark Plugs
Coolant flush
Tranny fluid
Diff fluid
Air filter
Cabin filter
Compression rod bushings
window motor

How are the tires, brakes and body condition of the vehicle. I would atealst budget $2500 to repair everything and service the vehicle to get it ready for 200k. I would run Autocheck on the vehicle and try to uncover more info. What is the price you have negotiated with the seller and yes you should be looking at other G35 in a 500 mile radius.

Tires and brakes are good. Price was negotiated to around 9,500. For that price i was thinking all the repairs might be worth it..

^^^ This.

It is a Nissan, after all. Mine currently has 136K and rising fast at 120 miles/day commuting. I've done all of those maintenance items with the exception of the clutch. If the clutch works fine, then there's no need to replace it just because of the mileage on it. Most of the stuff you can do yourself anyway just for the cost of the parts, so it's not really that expensive.

I went and test drove it the other day and it seemed to drive pretty nicely. Aligned and what not. The brakes are pretty much brand new ceramic pads. Tires at 75%. Overall seems to be in good condition. The only thing is there are several dings/dents on the sides and on the rear... (to get those fixed maybe $1,000??)

I have looked in for a black manual all across the country and cant find anything

I would pass on it and find one with much less miles that has also been taken care of...these are nice cars and most people are going to take care of them. In the area of
Balto and Wash DC...there are usually 2 with 60,000 or so...keep looking
