Prestone 70/30 or 50/50

Prestone recommends a 70/30 mix for MAXIMUM protection. What do you all think? I am moving to Germany in March, so it will be significantly colder than it is here in Texas.

Also, found a lot of DIY coolant changes, but not one that includes pictures for draining the block... Does one exist that I just didn't come across?

freezing areas you mix 50/50, hot climate area's 70/30. to drain the block you must disconnect the lower radiator hose and tilt the whole car fwd. you can achieve this by putting the front on jack stands and jacking the rear from the differential up higher than front of car.

^it's unnecessary to disconnect the lower rad hose and the factory service manual doesnt call for it either. Just drain the system from the drain plug and refill with 50/50 mix

there is a reason why i said to disconnect the lower radiator hose. you asked to get most of it out, open radiator cap and disconnect the lower hose, the flow will be very fast and a good percentage of it will come out. drain the slow way and more of it will stay in the block. i don't make suggestions unless i'm experienced with it. having done the drain plug only, it does not pull as much coolant as a result for just about every car i worked on.
