Car Will Not Start Up...Please Help
Hi guys. I have a 2005 G35 Coupe A/T and when I woke up this morning, my car would start, but the following lights displayed on the dash:
VDC OFF
ABS
SLIP
When I tried to push on the brake pedal and switch it into drive, the shifter **** is completely locked.
I read on here to check the fuses for the rear brake lights, and low and behold, the fuse was blown. So, I replace it, and now the brake lights are fine, but the car won't start at all now.
I checked the engine bay fuses, all seem fine. I also disconnected both battery cables to reset the computer, and that did not help either.
When I switch the key to the ON position, I hear two "knocking" sounds in the engine, which I was told is normal.
I guess I am confused as so why the car started this morning, and then once changing the fuse out, it will not start at all now.
Any help would grealty be appreciated, as now I cannot get my daily driver to start at all.
Thanks a million!

No.
Now, the owner's manual showed the fuses in the engine bay, and we took out one box fuse that held fuses for the vdc, abs, etc. and when we put that back in, is when the car wouldn't start. Sorry I might have explained the process incorrectly.

That's normal, all power is directed to the starter when it is energized.
You must have something out of whack with the computer. See if you can borrow an OBD2 reader and check for a code. That would be a good starting place.
