blinking airbag light
I found a easy fix in another thread, tried it and it worked perfectly. All you have to do is turn the ignition on, (not start), wait for the airbag light to go off. Immediately turn off the key. Repeat 4 times. The first time I tried it, it didn't work perfectly, but the blinking did slow down. I tried it again and ten the blinking quit

I did this but it keeps coming back with the code [2sec off, 3sec on, repeat] which apparently means nothing is wrong. I read online that it could be something to do with the battery having low voltage, can anyone confirm or deny this? I have a multimeter, but its only good up to 10A. I'd hate to take it to the stealership and get charged for something that is not needed.

UPDATE (5/4/14): I gave up and took my car to Infiniti a couple weeks ago. They said it was going to be $125 to diagnose it, I told them to go ahead and give me an oil change as well (shoot, since I'm waiting). I had the best luck though, it turns out it was a loose plug under the drivers seat. The tech plugged it in and only charged me $25 (fair enough!). I must reconsider my "stealership" comments... I waited a while before I posted this to ensure the problem was resolved, but it does appear to be.

Hello there, I know this thread maybe old but I hope someone will find it helpful.
I also encountered the airbag light problem on my Infiniti and tried fixing it by myself but can't find the issue. Then I tried checking on google some tips and I came across the YOUCANIC website where they have the article "Troubleshooting Infiniti Airbag Light On". After reading their article I was able to find the problem. It was a damaged wiring on the weight sensor when moving the seat all the way from the back it was getting pinched. So I fix the problem and set the wiring to safer position. Then after driving my vehicle for a few minutes the airbag light came off. I really recommend check their article, I hope you'll find it also helpful.

I smell bots, plus you don't need a scanner to reset the SRS system on these cars, put it into SRS diagnostic mode with your key, then when you take it out of diagnostic mode it will rescan for codes. If no codes are present then the light will stay off.
Plus the system will pulse the morse code for the SRS system that's faulty so you can do most of your troubleshooting without even needing a code reader that handles B codes.

What if you have a push button ignition?
How would you do this procedure?
I understand if you press the button once it turns some of the electronics on and then if you press it again it's in what could be considered "accessory" mode.
TIA
