I bought Auto Tap which is the program for your laptop. It has a usb cable with the adapter to plug into the OBD11 on the car. I haven used it on the G35 but it's supposed to work on any vehicle. It's more than paid for itself. Their new program is DIY and walks you through troubleshooting pretty much everything. Hope this helps.
