Front amber bulb on headlight not working?

Hi..
I have an '04 G35 Coupe, 6MT, named Gale, which has nothing to do with this, but I like including it.

I noticed yesterday that the amber turn signal bulb on my headlight wasn't working whenever I turn my headlights on.

The strange thing is, the bulb isn't burned out, and I know this because when I hit the hazards, the bulb works fine..

What could this be?

The turn signal bulb (at least in 05 & 06) has two filaments, the blinker/hazard side is 15w and the "parking lamp" side is 5w. So Gale's parking lamp may just be burned out...
However, if neither of the front "parking lamps" is working check the back to see if you've also lost the rear "running lights" and license plate lamps. If so then she may have blown a fuse. (Did you say the wrong thing?)

One is working, the other isn't. When I hit the hazards, both work just like they should.
I've checked every other light, and they're all working fine.

So, just to be clear, the bulb itself has two filaments, but as you said, in the 05 & 06, so I would need to check/replace the bulb since the 04 possibly has two filaments also?

And this is all just in ONE bulb, correct? I'm terribly sorry, I'm horrible with electronic and lighting equipment..

Terribly sorry.
All the other forums I'm on need bumping like, 5 minutes after you post it, so I didn't know.
Thank you.

Yes, you've only lost 1/2 of one bulb. Since your good one lights in "parking light" and "turn indicator / hazard" mode, that shows that your car also uses these two filament bulbs and you have simply burned out 1/2 of the bad one.

A correction to my previous post: these are 21w / 5w combo bulbs. I don't know if they are amber or clear on your model but they are pretty common and maybe only about $5. However, they're not that easy to get to on the car...

And yeah, this forum moves pretty slow but it's full of great info.
