Window Regulator install

Hello everyone,

I hate to beat a dead horse on this subject as I couldnt pull up anything about Window Regulator installation on the forums "Plently of Window Motor installs though".. Im getting ready to put in a brand new regulator and motor into my 03 Coupe Driver Side door. Reason being, I have gone through two "refurbished" motors and im tired of spending money on getting my window to work. Since I bought a new OEM motor this time and not refurbished, I figured I would buy a reglator as well just incase that's the reason my motors keep burning out.

Has anyone replaced a window regulator before? Just by looking at it with the door panel removed, how does the regulator get in/out of the door? It seems that the sheet metal facing is welded to the door. Im sure there is a way I am just lacking in the skill department :/ Any help on this issue would greatly help as im trying to get this repaired tomorrow. Flying blind here. I have White Lithium grease for the new regulator. Much thanks!

It seems like its welded to the door, but it's not. It's a floating design

In a nutshell, follow the DIY on here to pull the exterior panel off, then the interior panel. From there, remove the motor and window glass from their respective brackets and bolts. The regulator will then pull right out. Replace and reinstall in reverse. You're gonna have to reprogram your window motor and align the glass properly. It's best to have a friend help with that part. Good luck. Lmk if you need anymore help.
