Unhappy car not starting after motor build

i have searched and didnt find anything that pertains to my issue. i have a 06 5AT. i just recently put my motor back together and back in the car and now it wont start. i have a new battery, timing is right, im getting fuel, checked all sensors, new plugs, checked all grounding, checked vacuum lines. car has been sitting for 5 months with the battery disconnected. the car will turn just but doesnt seem like its getting spark. what else can i check for? any other info you guys need? thanks for the info

the cel comes on like normal when first turn it to on. i will hook up my cypher cable to see if there is a true cel. i guess i can try and check the starter. whats the best way to check it? the engine turns just doesnt seem like its not firing.

If the engine is turning i doubt it is your starter. Are you sure your getting fuel? Fuel pump is turning on? Injectors are spitting? Does it sound normal as it is "trying" to start..."chug" noise" do your lights dim at all while it is turning over? Possible crank sensor? Correct compression?

Check all your electrical connections including that little ground loop that is for the coils that hooks up to the front timing cover. I had one person that did a motor swap and couldn't start the car because that little ground wasn't connected

yes its getting fuel. pump is priming. injectors spitting. lights dont dim when cranking and also had it on a charger when tried cranking it over. i will try and get a video on how it sounds to help trouble shoot it.

so I went to work on the car last night and yea. So I turn the motor by turning the crank pulley and nothing. Like there's no resistance from the valves and cams turning . What I don't get is the main timing chain is spinning and turning the intake cams but yet I don't feel the valves opening and closing. I also think my timing is off so I don't know. any insight to this would be greatly appreciated.

Did you touch the heads? If not, I doubt that the timing chain is turning the cams and the valves are not openig.

Maf plugged in? TB plugged in?

I was going to suggest the same ground pin that was already suggested.
