I took my G35 to a Nissan dealer as suggested for a discount today. I was told they could not give a warranty for the parts and labor on the work because it wasn't a Nissan. "The Vin numbers aren't Nissan Vin numbers."

Also:

"We would just call the Infiniti dealership and charge the same labor anyway."

This sounds like complete bullshit, but the Infiniti dealership I took the car to confirmed what he said.

Still sounds like bs...what do you guys think?

And if it's not bs, why would some people here suggest taking the G to a Nissan dealership for an average of 30% off if you couldn't get a warranty on parts and labor?

I used to take my coupe to west covina nissan, where they had deals for the Z community, but offered it for the G.
