Need help solving a mystery...

A friend of mines wife sent him this photo, of a piece that she found on the garage floor after pulling out. From a 2005 G35X sedan. Came from front area of car. She also thinks she's getting vibration from the front wheels now. She says its metallic, and appears to have tack welds at each end?

Any ideas?

Thats most likely your brake dust shields... It's so that rocks, gravel, water, etc don't get wedged between your brade pad & rotors..

They all eventually rust and fall off. Vibration from the front wheels could need wheel balancing, or new wheel bearing's...

What are the dimensions of the piece? Size looks deceiving

Looks like a brake pad.

Instead of guessing just jack the car up and remove wheel to inspect.
