Granny mode + drag strip question
I really didn't ask to get bashed like that, come on gentlemen.
My car was obtained from a combination of money I got from selling a nice chevy s10 truck my grandpa gave me as my first car, and money I earned splitting wood for my rich *** neighbor. My parents do pay my insurance but I am smart enough to not get tickets like some others here so my rate isn't outrageous. I don't care if you are tired of 18 year olds driving the same car as you, I've just been lucky enough to end up where I am today. Most 18 year olds who get a nice car like this end up killing themselves in it. I've had it since I turned 17, and haven't been lucky enough to do so yet. I hope it is painless. I will use the car to get me through college for Mech. Engineering to eventually get into the performance parts market. It doubles as a hobby during the summertime. The babes will love it, they already do around town here in CT.
I ran a 14.5 today, I shifted immediately into second at only 4k because I couldn't get a grip on the track and I stretched third to get up to 95.54 mph. I could have done much better but my nerves got to me.
The Iroc ran a 15.3 consistently with both my buddy and his father driving it. I had room to improve, when they did not. Mods to their car were cams, and headers. It is a 1985 with the 302 motor.
Track conditions were 74.3 degrees at 9% humidity,it was raining a bit before my run.
It's like you are all obsessed with bashing because of age here, WHO CARES. That's like saying I hate my car because one time I saw a fat guy driving it.
I guarantee you I know my way around my G enough to surprise each and every one of you. I'm probably going to stop posting on this forum now, it doesn't seem to be worth my time. I will instead be spending it with my friends at RDZ motorsports who respect me for the work I have done on my own and at the track learning and building my skills to benefit myself in the future.

This is a public forum, so anything you post is subject to criticism whether you like the feedback or not. You overreacted to someones post, got all defensive and started acting immaturely. How you act on here directly correlates with the responses you receive.
Few troll here simply because of age, its the lack of maturity that starts the entertainment.

I need to practice! I got 2 runs in, and like I said I made a few mistakes but I don't know how much my time will improve next week if I manage to avoid them. I had trouble hooking up, does the X have a different differential than the usual RWD one? My first run I spun third gear... I didn't know that was possible. I avoided the water after that.
I'm at 234 whp on a mustang dyno my tuner said that is 10% lower than a dynojet from experience.

If your really concerned about your ecu bogging you down, flash it. Not very expensive... At all. Especially if your going onto the dyno to begin with, a quick tune around here is not very expensive... Where I am at with my mods, tuning my car is just as expensive as most single modifications to the car. Needless to say rev limiter deleted, ecu flashed.
