i get the general concept of rev matching but have yet to perfect the art of it. who wants to teach me LOL

 

It's just a matter of practice/muscle memory and getting to know the characteristics of the VQ engine.
The trickiest part is knowing how much to blip the throttle in order to match the revs once you engage the clutch again.
That and every instance is going to be different depending on how fast or aggressive your driving.

 

im rice I don't waste my energy downshifting unless I have too. I jus leave it in gear and coast and let the engine handle most of the braking. the only time I down shift is usually when im getting off the freeway. most of my driving is in the city where I almost never get past 4th
